Introduction To Health Informatics (2nd Semester)

This book on Health and Nursing Informatics and Technology teaches students the basics of IT while helping them develop an understanding of computer application in patient care and nursing practice; to apply the knowledge of computer and information technology in patient care and nursing education, administration and research. It also teaches them to describe the principles of health informatics and its use in developing efficient healthcare. They will learn how to demonstrate the use of the information system in healthcare for patient care and utilization of nursing data; and will be able to learn how to use the Electronic Health Records system in clinical practice. They will also be able to apply their knowledge of interoperability standards in a clinical setting and the knowledge of information and communication technology in public health promotion. It also helps them utilize the skills of using data management in healthcare and much more.
