First aid means preserving the life of an unconscious or injured person. This means that a person takes an executive
first measure to save a human life. The central task is to avert or eliminate threatening dangers and health disorders until
professional help arrives. The aim is to stabilize the condition of the injured or unconscious person until professional help takes
over. Care must be taken to eliminate possible hazards, such as fast-moving cars, fire, explosions, floods, and contaminated
blood, to themselves and others. This means that the person who arrives first at the scene of the accident/incident must
provide first aid, according to their level of knowledge. This includes, in particular, making an emergency call, securing the
accident site/incident, and caring for the injured.
